The content of this page has been amended 3 times over the course of the 240 years since the document was written. The impact of amendment 22 is simply noted in line. Amendment 25 has been inserted in its entirety, and amendment 12, the electoral college, I have chosen to defer until our discussion of the amendments.
With regard to the 25th amendment, there are two separate subjects, Replacement and Incapacity. Replacement has 2 sections, one concerning the President and the second concerning the Vice President. They are written as two potentially isolated events. However, as I read it, if the President has to be replaced, it will be by the Vice President thus creating an automatic vacancy in the Vice President. The Vice President, now the President, will appoint his own successor. To me that is the implication, but it does not actually say so. I have therefore presented the Replacement sections in the original words. With regard to Incapacity, I have chosen to restructure the original words for clarity.

The President

The executive power shall be vested in the President.

President's term shall be 4 years.with terms limited to 2. per Amendment 22
President must be a natural born citizen, age 35 or over, and 14 years a resident
Per Amendment XII, Vice-President has same qualifications
The President shall be compensated.
The President shall, before taking office, take an oath to defend the Constitution.

See Amendment 12 for the electoral college

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Incapacity

If President declares his incapacity, in writing, to heads of both houses, Vice President takes over.
President may resume duties with a written declaration of his recovery.

If Vice President and majority of department heads declare President is incapacitated, in writing, to heads of both houses, Vice President takes over.
President may resume duties with a written declaration of his recovery.

In this case, Vice President and majority of department heads have 4 days to challenge President's evaluation.
Question then goes to combined houses within 21 days. 2/3 vote required to override President
